π¬ THE HALFTONE GIVES AWAY YOUR PRINT
π Under magnification a genuine document isn't text β it's a grid of dots. Offset printing lays a halftone with its own angle and density. It's the print shop's fingerprint, like ridges on a finger.
π¨ A home printer screens differently: different pitch, different dot shape, toner sitting on top of the paper instead of soaking in. Under a loupe the difference shows like day.
β οΈ A screen-born retouch isn't screened at all β smooth gradients where dots must be. To the machine that's not a document, it's a render.
π Diamond Service reproduces the print halftone, not just the picture.
βοΈ File looks perfect but won't pass? Send it β we'll look at it under magnification.
